Rowan and her daughter had gotten up early as usual, greeted by Hanna and the warm breakfast that she had made for the young mother and child duo. After breakfast, Rowan kissed her daughter good bye and left for her morning classes at the University. Class was getting harder and harder but she would get through that. Rowan Clarity was never the type of person to quit. And what type of a message would she be giving McKensie if she did. Plus it wasn't even close to the point for her to consider that. It just meant that she would be needing more time with her professors and to get her work done. As easy as it sounded, Photography was difficult.
After her classes were finished Rowan headed home to a big surprise. Instead of her aunt and her daughter there she found the other side of her family there as well. Rowan hadn't seen any of them for almost two and half years and today of all days they just decided to show up? That was not right of them. With a grimace the girl just ignored them and walked to her bed room. There she packed up the diaper bag for McKensie, took her daughter and left the house, without a single word. How dare they just show up like that, and expect for her to be all happy. Did they expect her to let them meet there granddaughter, the one they sent away like a package. No, that was not going to be it.
The first place the she thought of going to was to Ryan's. He and Rowan were close friends, and he was a mentor to the young girl. He might have been older than her but she wasn't very close with anyone else in town. After finding his place empty, she turned around and drove to the next best place. The hospital. If he wasn't there then she didn't know where to look. She didn't want to seem clingy, but she just needed time away and Ryan always had her in a happy mood. With McKensie sleeping soundly, the nineteen year old walked into the hospital, her green eyes on the look out for her dark haired friend.
